Instrumental Learning Team Tutor (Violin/Viola)

Opera North is seeking an Instrumental Learning Team Tutor (Violin/Viola) to join our Young Musicians Studio.

You will plan and deliver high-quality group Violin and Viola tuition, direct ensembles, and integrate musicianship, instrumental skills, and good technique for young people from all backgrounds. Working as part of a collaborative teaching team, you will track student progress, offer expertise to children, staff, and parents, and help committed young musicians realise their potential.

The ideal candidate will have solid classical instrumental training, demonstrable experience as a professional player and tutor, and a strong grasp of musical pedagogy and repertoire for young upper strings learners from beginner level upwards.
