BBC Leeds Introducing Producer

BBC Radio Leeds is one of England’s largest stations.

We have a thriving and exciting local music scene and we’re looking for someone to produce our BBC West Yorkshire Introducing Show.

We work in one of the busiest and most diverse areas in the country, with a dedicated team of journalists and programme makers who produce award-winning content. Our presenters are distinctive and news and sports teams deliver original and creative journalism. 

You will be responsible for the weekly production of our BBC Introducing show, this involves coordinating with the programme presenter, TA and the central Introducing team. The producer would be responsible for the smooth running of the team and regular interaction with the rest of the Radio Leeds. The producer would be responsible for creating running orders, studio production during live transmission, ensuring all music is legally logged and sending out weekly prospects notes.

This role is flexible depending on the changing needs of the show but would be studio based in Leeds. An excellent knowledge of West Yorkshire’s growing music scene, a high level of radio production skills, making live radio programmes and producing digital content that can be shared on various digital platforms including Radio Leeds and BBC Sounds.
