One of a series of three similar events being held across the Yorkshire and Humber region, this FREE event at 4pm on the 8th June 2017 at Cafe Indie, Scunthorpe, will explore how artists can can go the DIY route to achieve success in the modern music industry.
The panel of 3 experts: Tony Ereira (Come Play with Me and Hatch Records), Neil McSweeney (Hudson Records and Music Business Masters Course leader – Sheff Uni), Stew Baxter (LIFE) will be chaired by Alan Raw (BBC Introducing Leeds and Humberside) to explore the opportunities and pitfalls of going it alone as an artist.
The event is being delivered by Higher Rhythm through Music Industry Yorkshire as part of the
Breakthrough artist development programme which is funded by
Help Musicians UK as part of their National Grants Programme with part match funding through Arts Council England. Breakthrough is now
FREE to enter for artists of any genre.
The event will also provide more information about how Yorkshire music artists can apply for support through the Breakthrough programme.
There will also be an opportunity to network after the panel ends.
