About MIY
Music Industry Yorkshire (previously Plugged In Yorkshire) launched as Yorkshire’s Music Industry Development Network in 2010.
Partnering with like-minded organisations and linking key-players, businesses and events, MIY provides support, signposting and development opportunities for Yorkshire’s established and aspiring music industry professionals.
Alongside delivering region-wide masterclasses and expert-led panel events, MIY has also delivered high-profile international events such as the Yorkshire Music Stage at South By South West.

MIY was created to support our region’s extraordinary, vast and diverse music community and simply by registering as a member through the MIY website (your member profile is private) you will receive info about:
- Panels Sessions with Music Business Pros in Yorkshire
- Signposting to Information, Advice, Guidance and Support available
- Opportunities to participate in Industry Events
Anyone in any music sector will benefit from the information and updates you will receive simply by joining MIY.
Some of the tools on the MIY site aim to support music pros other than music artists. For example, if you run a music business / music service you can list this (for free) in the music business directory
The MIY site also has our jobs board where anyone can post or search music jobs for free., as well as a calendar oft music industry support events in the region.
