Cida Co and Transmit Start Ups have joined forces with Music Industry Yorkshire, DMF Digital and Creator College to offer a 1 day workshop to help you grow your music business and progress to the next level.

Each session will include guest music industry professionals and specialists to help and advise you.

Workshop Leaders:

Transmit Start Ups - Provide business planning, training, coaching and mentoring services to businesses throughout England and Scotland and our specialism’s are within the music and digital sectors.  Transmit are also a delivery partner for the Government’s Start-Up Loans initiative and, so far, we have supported 150+ businesses with over £1,000,000 in loan finance. The Start Up Loan scheme offers unsecured loans of £500 to £7500 for each founder of the business that are either pre-start of have been trading for less than 12 months.

Mark Hobrough - Swansfield Music - Mark is a producer / song-writer manager who represents James Flannigan, Gita Langley & Anders Grahn. He recently placed tracks in Kick Ass 2 and Justin as well as many others. He is Head Tutor for Managing a Music Business Enterprise at Gateshead College and is an experienced music business education consultant...

Paul Bower Head of Operations AWAL - http://awal.com/ Sheffield based independent digital music company currently distributing and marketing Moby, Beck, Radiohead, Thom Yorke, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Prince and Gabrielle Aplin.

Simon Pursehouse - Director of Music Services Sentric Music http://www.sentricmusic.com/ Simon is originally from Yorkshire but formed Sentric when he graduated from Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts (LIPA) in 2006. Sentric are an independent music publisher home to 45k+ songwriters worldwide and it's his job to get all our artists' music onto TV/adverts/movies/games.


The Sheffield event will take place in the following location:

Time: 10.00 – 4.30pm

The event costs £25 plus the eventbrite booking fee of £2.15 (Total £27.15).  The fee includes lunch.  Freelancers and Sole Traders must provide proof of Legal Status.
